Even before graduating from De La Salle University, where she majored in Communication Arts in 2008, Miakka Lim found herself in the world of sports as a court side reporter for the Philippine Basketball Association (PBA) as her first crack into the real world. She was chosen by ESPN Asia as the Philippines’ first representative in their coverage of the Asean Basketball League (ABL). Soon after, it led her to host V-League and GMA 7 News’ online show called FTW. And still today, Miakka continues to bring news as a sports analyst for CNN Philippines and ABS-CBN News Channel (ANC). Alongside her hosting, Miakka also worked as a commercial and print model allowing her to be exposed to the world of fashion and style.
Finally in 2011, she entered the world of Image Consultancy as inspired by her mother. She went to the Academy of Image Mastery and was mentored by one of only 9 masters in the world, Christina One, AICI CIM. Following this, Miakka became the training manager for luxury brands such as Louis Vuitton and Benefit Cosmetics where she spearheaded trainings about Grooming, Personal Branding and Luxury Customer Service. In 2015, Miakka was given a service award by the Global Education VP of Benefit Cosmetics, an award given to individuals whose spirit, creativity and resiliency inspired not only her staff but her regional colleagues as well. Still today, she remains the first and only person from South East Asia to be given that award.
Today, as a young certified image consultant, Miakka envisions to bridge the generation gap- inspire and empower people at her helm to be the best version of themselves and face the world with grace and poise so they can make positive changes not only on themselves but around them as well.
